Mugiwara Luffy Vs Grata au chapeau de feutre

It happens during one of those cold days of December. Few days ago, I was burning my mind on Internet, trying to plan a next flight to Vietnam (a death-born project). Planning things is a real difficult job for me, when it inclued more than one person. Otherwise, if it’s just for me, I never need to plan anything. As from now, I never had to do anything like that. I mean … I probably had to, but I never done it. Anyway, once again, the easy project of planning something for more than one person canceled on the 10 november 2008. The day before, I titled it: “Des plans sur la comète”. Anyway, I would want to thanks again Takashi Uragami, my boss, who found for me, early in the morning, the cheapest flight ever (335$aus Nagoya-HoChiMinh)

Then, I met Yu-Chan. She just arrived to work here, in this restaurant/meat shop of Churui, Noboribetsu prefectur, 50km South of Obihiro, in Hokkaido.

She intruduced herself: “… and I love to hike”.

Two days after that, their boss gave us half a week of holidays, and we started to hitchike up North, 400 km, to Akan area.

Akan would be my before the last Ainu spot to visit. There, two famouses Ainu lakes: Akan-ko, which is surrounded by two active volcanoes, and Machu-ko, which is forever under foged (Ainu talls said that if you can see the lake, you will become married in the year. Another scary story…).

Anyway, volcanoes, Ainu culture, snow, and free landscapes … that was our target for those next few days. Early in the morning, we started to walk until the first service area on the road, 300 meters way of the restaurant. 200 meters before to arrive, a car stoped. We spend the all day to hitchike. During this day, we had lot of fun, talking about hiking, about traveling, about culturs, … we met lot of drivers, we drunk lot of café au lait to warm up, and –that’s the point- we were singing songs. Lot of songs, especially french songs, and one specific song which said something as:

C’est un fameux trois mats, fin comme un oiseau, HISSEZ HAUT ! Santiaaano !

Si Dieu veut, toujours droit devant, nous irons jusqu'à San Francisco !

Tiens bon la barre et tiens bon le vent, hissez haut …

A sailor song.

The fantastic thing is that we sing with so much energy (probably to feel a bit warm until the next car would stop for us, anyway), that I keep today this energy in me, and it’s even better, ‘cause I’m going to sail up North very soon. Sailing boats, hitchiking boats, and singing the same song with the same energy and feeling again this traveling way.

Feeling free.

So, why « Mugiwara Luffy Vs Grata au chapeau de feutre » ?

Sorry, but the answer seems quiet ridiculous : As everything else, it’s just for fun.

(peut etre un Don2 ?)
